Baseball is a tall, skinny rounded marker print in mixed case with uniform monoline strokes, open counters and a narrow stance that fits a long word in a column. Despite the name it is a handwriting face, not a varsity block: the letters are disconnected and evenly weighted, which makes it read as farmhouse craft lettering. It needs roughly 12 mm to stay crisp and holds at 80 mm without thickening, and it is at its best in one dark ink on a warm or weathered ground.

Marker print reads as a note tied to a jar, which is what a host gift is imitating. Thin even strokes hold at 10 mm on a small tag.
