Privacy & storage

How MakerFileHub handles browser shortlists, optional analytics and contact requests.
Who you are writing to
MakerFileHub is the project name. Operated by Katri Hei. Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Operator country: United States. Enquiries about the catalogue and its listings go to hello@makerfilehub.com; anything involving personal data goes to privacy@makerfilehub.com. One person reads both inboxes, so nothing is routed into a void, and a reply usually takes a few working days rather than an hour.
This notice applies to https://fonts.makerfilehub.com. Last updated: 27 October 2026.
Your shortlist and comparison notes
Saved fonts, comparison slots and personal notes stay locally in your browser under storage keys prefixed with makerfilehub.facet07. This site does not upload your shortlist or comparison notes to our servers or to Google, and requires no user account or cloud sync. Local storage has no fixed expiry: you can clear all saved items at any time using the button below or through your browser settings. If browser storage is blocked, selections work for the current tab session only.
Optional Google Analytics 4
Analytics loads only on https://fonts.makerfilehub.com and only after you choose Allow analytics. Declining has no effect on browsing. The purpose is to understand use of the catalogue; the basis for this optional measurement is your consent.
Accepted measurement includes page views, product-source clicks and shortlist actions. Our event code excludes search words, notes, project wording, full product destinations and URL queries. Page information is reduced to allowed route types and product IDs. Google receives network information, including your IP address, when its tag is requested. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and Google Signals are disabled.
The GA4 property is configured for two-month user- and event-level retention, without resetting it on new activity. This does not define retention of aggregated reports or hosting records. The analytics tag is configured for a 60-day cookie lifetime without renewal on each page view; browsers can shorten or block that lifetime. The consent choice is stored under mfh-analytics-consent-v1 for up to 180 days when storage works.
Use Analytics choices in the footer to change your decision. Withdrawal reloads the page, prevents future analytics loading and clears this integration’s analytics cookies; it does not itself delete data already received by Google. You can contact privacy@makerfilehub.com about a data request.
Hosting and security
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site. Like other network providers, it processes request information such as IP address, requested URL, time and browser details to deliver content and protect the service. The purpose is operation and security, relying on the legitimate interest in providing a reliable site where that basis applies. We have not configured a separate application database for visitors or notes. Provider records follow the provider’s applicable retention and service terms; browser storage and GA4 retention are described separately above.
Messages and privacy requests
If you email us, the address, message and any attachments you send are used to respond to the request, handle corrections or rights requests, and maintain necessary correspondence. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards mail to the operator’s existing mailbox provider. We retain correspondence only for as long as needed for those purposes and applicable legal obligations. Do not include passwords, payment details or identity documents in an initial message.
Affiliate and other external links
MakerFileHub may earn a commission when you purchase through a labelled affiliate link. Clicking sends you to the retailer, which receives the referral identifier, campaign and site origin under the link’s referrer policy. The retailer applies its own privacy, purchase and licence terms. We do not provide downloads or process purchases. See Affiliate disclosure. This site does not install a Pinterest advertising tag; Article metadata is not visitor tracking.
Providers and international processing
Cloudflare, Google when you opt in, and email providers may process information in countries other than yours. Their applicable privacy information and service terms describe their processing and transfer arrangements. This notice does not claim that all data stays in the United States or the European Union.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal information, object to certain processing, or request portability. You may withdraw optional analytics consent at any time. Contact privacy@makerfilehub.com; we may need proportionate information to identify the request. Where applicable, you may complain to your data-protection authority. We do not require a payment to use these browser controls.
Children and changes
This catalogue is intended for a general audience, not directed at children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information. Material changes to this notice will be reflected here with an updated date.
