Talk to
MakerFileHub.

A correction to a listing, a question about the catalogue, or a request about your own work. Here is which door to use and what to put in the message.

Who you are writing to

MakerFileHub is the project name. Operated by Katri Hei. Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Operator country: United States. Enquiries about the catalogue and its listings go to hello@makerfilehub.com; anything involving personal data goes to privacy@makerfilehub.com. One person reads both inboxes, so nothing is routed into a void, and a reply usually takes a few working days rather than an hour.

Corrections and removal requests

Send the page URL and say what is wrong. The useful message names the specific field: the designer credit, the style family, a preview that belongs to a different product, a watch-out line that misdescribes the file, a dead outbound link. Screenshots help when the fault is visual. If the marketplace itself has changed — new weights, renamed family, withdrawn listing — say so and we will re-check the record on the next rebuild rather than guess at it.

We do not invent corrections to make a page look complete. If we cannot verify a claim against the preview or the source record, the claim comes off the page instead of being softened into something vague. Designers and rights holders can skip straight to the removal paragraph below.

If you are a designer, studio or rights holder and you want a preview image, a credit line or an entire profile changed or removed, write from an address connected to the work and tell us which page you mean. Explain your connection to it in a sentence or two — you should not have to send identity documents or proof of ownership to start the conversation. We take these requests seriously and act quickly: a removal request is not an invitation to negotiate, and a page can come down before the paperwork.

Product files, licences and refunds

We cannot send a font file, reset a download, change a licence tier or process a refund, because we never held the file or took the payment. Those requests belong to the retailer whose page you bought from, and the fastest route is the order confirmation email from that purchase. What we can do is fix what is on our side: the link that should have taken you there, the description that sent you to the wrong product, the credit that names the wrong studio.

Privacy and browser storage

Saved fonts, comparison notes and any shortlist you build live in this browser only — no account, no server copy. You can clear them yourself from Privacy & storage, so there is nothing to email us for. Write to the privacy address if you want to know what the analytics consent setting records, or if you believe something is being kept that should not be.

Reporting a page that breaks

If a page will not load, a search returns nothing it should, or the layout falls apart on your device, tell us the address, the browser and the screen size. That last detail matters more than people expect: a masthead that wraps badly at 320 pixels is a different bug from one that overlaps at 1024, and the fix starts from knowing which one you saw.

What we do not do

No paid placements, no sponsored roundup positions, no paid removals from a list, no ghost-writing a foundry's own product description. If you are a designer hoping to be included, the honest answer is that selection follows the previews we can inspect and the workflows a collection is about — a message asking to be added is not how a profile gets written. The editorial method and the disclosure page explain both halves of that arrangement.
