Sunlight is a tall condensed upright marker font with rounded loops, semi-connected forms and a farmhouse bounce, so a name reads as lettering written on a card by hand rather than as a brush script. The semi-connected forms stay legible at 10 mm, and the tall ascenders give a short word height on a narrow format. It needs roughly 20 mm for the marker edge to read, and it is best in crisp black on white or in one warm ink on kraft.

A clean marker face reads as a teacher's own writing, which is what a primary classroom wall shows. The semi-connected forms stay legible from the back of the room, and the tall caps fit a long name on a 60 mm tag.
