Clean uniform square-grid 8-bit block
Pixel constructs 8-bit arcade capitals from uniform square blocks, with no diagonal curves and no tiny notches, so every edge follows a crisp orthogonal pixel grid on a fixed unit.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The blocks sit on one module, the corners never round, the strokes step in whole units and the counters close to rectangles. The pure grid is the character: the letters look like a screen font rather than a display face with a pixel texture laid over it, which is why the sample keeps the row even. Because the unit is fixed, scale in whole multiples of the grid so a block never falls on a half cell, and check 20 pt for the smallest usable step.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Pixel’s stroke geometry.
The grid reads as arcade signage, and because every stroke sits on the same square module the blocks stay crisp at 30 mm on a cut decal in one colour, so a shop name cut from vinyl keeps its steps without any rounding.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cut a 120 mm decal: set the name at 30 mm, keep every block on a whole module so no step is half-sized, and keep 5 mm of clear vinyl around the outermost block.
Pre-production check
Scaling a pixel face to a fractional size breaks the grid; check the file at 100 percent and resize in whole steps.
The 8-bit blocks suit a gaming theme, and the square forms read at 44 pt across an A3 sheet without losing a single step, so a party banner stays legible on a wall that people see from across the room.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A3 banner: set the heading at 44 pt, keep the blocks aligned to one grid origin so vertical stems line up, and set the date at 18 pt in a mono beneath with 12 mm of clear ground.
Pre-production check
Two pixel sizes mixed on one line look like a broken screen; check the banner and keep one module for all type.
The grid gives a class poster its theme, and the block letters hold a short title at 26 pt on an A4 sheet, which is small enough to print at home and large enough that no single block disappears in a photocopy.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 poster: set the title at 26 pt, keep 18 mm of clear ground beneath for the details at 11 pt, and keep 20 mm of margin so no block is trimmed.
Pre-production check
Pixel type printed at 12 pt loses single blocks; check the proof and hold the title at 24 pt or above.
