Double-outlined retro pixel arcade alphabet with a filled inner core
Pixel Game is an arcade alphabet in which every letter carries two outlines and a filled core, so a word reads as an eight-bit game logo rendered as a sticker.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The P is built from square pixels with a stepped bowl, the L keeps one arm of even blocks, the A carries a stepped bar and the Y forks into two staircases, all on a fixed grid with a heavy weight distributed between the core and the two outlines. That three-part construction is what makes the face work at sticker size: the inner core holds the colour while the outlines keep each letter separate on a busy ground. Because everything sits on whole pixels, the letterfit is wide and a short word spans a panel at 50 pt without tracking adjustments. Below 24 pt the double outline merges with the core. The teal ground, the night city, the game characters and the two small labels are presentation; the display face is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Pixel Game’s stroke geometry.
The double outline keeps each letter separate on a busy printed ground, and the pixel grid ties the poster to the theme at 100 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the title at 100 pt in two lines on a pixel-aligned grid, set the details in a 16 pt pixel face beneath, and keep 25 mm of margin so the outlines stay inside the bleed.
Pre-production check
A double outline under 2 mm merges below 40 pt; check the proof at final size and drop to a single outline for the smaller lines.
The layered outlines read on a small round die, and the square construction cuts cleanly on a vinyl plotter at 30 mm wide without rounded joins.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 mm round sticker: set the word at 30 mm wide, keep 5 mm inside the die so both outlines survive the cut, and check that the pixel steps are still visible at that size.
Pre-production check
A plotter cut through a stepped outline leaves a jagged edge; check the cut file at full size and keep every pixel step above 2 mm.
The arcade construction gives a cover its subject at 70 pt, and the filled core keeps the title readable over a printed background.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 120 mm square sleeve: set the title at 70 pt across the centre, set the artist in a 9 pt pixel face at the foot, and keep 12 mm of margin so the outer outline stays inside the square trim.
Pre-production check
A pixel core over a gradient shows banding; check the proof and place the title on a flat block if the gradient fights it.
