Condensed capitals with coarse scattered erosion and straight stems
Dirty Strong is a condensed industrial display in which the stems run straight and narrow, the bowls stay compact and coarse patches of wear break the fill at several scales, so a heading reads as paint on a warehouse sign.

Fine grain and micro-texture excel in 300 DPI print, sublimation, and screen print rather than small vinyl weeding.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The D closes a compact rounded bowl, the S turns through narrow curves, the T spreads a flat arm over a single stem and the R drops a short straight leg, all at a heavy weight with irregular pale patches ranging from fine specks to broken areas. The two scales of wear are the character: small specks and larger breaks, which is why the sample keeps the title small on a screw-corner board. Because the erosion is drawn in, the face reads from 34 pt in print and should be printed at any scale rather than cut small in vinyl, where the chips close up. The pale sign frame, the wood ground and the corner screws are presentation; the dark distressed capitals are the face.

The eroded condensed caps suit a working shed, and the straight stems stay readable at 60 mm on a 600 mm plate in one paint colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Paint a 600 by 200 mm plate: set the sign at 60 mm, keep 20 mm of border so no chip is trimmed, and set the opening hours in a 12 mm caps at the right end of the plate.
Pre-production check
Erosion printed at 60 mm reads as texture, but a chip broken by the plate edge reads as damage; check the mounted sign and keep 18 mm of margin.
The industrial tone carries a can label, and the condensed caps keep a two-word name solid at 13 pt on a 55 mm panel without the wear closing the counters.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 80 mm can panel: set the name at 13 pt, set the roast in a 7 pt caps beneath, and print the wear as the file draws it rather than adding a second distress filter.
Pre-production check
Two distress passes stacked on one artwork close the counters; check the proof at full size and use only the texture in the file.
The worn condensed caps set the tone of a streetwear feature, and the narrow forms fit a two-word title at 48 pt across a printed column.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 mm page: set the title at 48 pt across two lines, set the standfirst at 11 pt in a neutral serif beneath, and keep 12 mm of clear ground so the chips do not touch the text.
Pre-production check
Eroded caps set flush to a standfirst read as a dirty plate rather than a title; check the printed page and keep 12 mm of clear ground beneath the last row.
