Condensed heavy capitals with sparse chips across pale faces
Chunky Texture is a condensed heavy display in which the stems run straight, the bowls stay compact and fine specks plus occasional larger chips interrupt the faces, so a heading reads as painted stencil with light wear.

Fine grain and micro-texture excel in 300 DPI print, sublimation, and screen print rather than small vinyl weeding.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The C clips a compact curve, the H keeps two straight stems, the A carries a narrow apex and the chips scatter thinly, leaving most of each stroke intact. The sparse wear is the character: it survives printing better than heavy erosion but can turn to noise when reduced, which is why the sample sets two strong rows on black. Because the specks are fine, the face wants 34 pt before they read as texture, and it prints at any scale; a small proof is the honest test of whether the wear still works. The rough diagonal accents beside the title are artwork; the pale capitals are the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Chunky Texture’s stroke geometry.
The condensed caps fit a narrow board, and the sparse wear keeps the word clear at 80 mm on a painted panel in one colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Paint a 600 by 250 mm panel: set the word at 80 mm, keep 22 mm of border so no chip sits on the edge, and set the open days in a 14 pt caps underneath.
Pre-production check
Sparse chips painted over an edge look like damage; check the mounted panel and keep 20 mm of margin.
The worn weight sets the tone, and the condensed forms hold a two-word title at 72 pt across a printed A2 poster in one ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the title at 72 pt on the upper half, set the times at 16 pt in a sans in the lower third, and keep 28 mm of border all round.
Pre-production check
Fine specks printed at 300 dpi over a dark ground disappear; check the poster proof and keep the title at 60 pt or above.
The grunge weight carries a bag label, and the heavy stems stay solid at 20 pt on a 70 mm kraft panel printed in one flat ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 by 50 mm panel: set the roastery name at 20 pt, set the origin at 8 pt in a caps beneath, and keep 6 mm from the die so the ragged edges are not cut.
Pre-production check
Wear printed at 14 pt closes into the counters; check the label proof and keep the name at 18 pt or above.
