Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Askinо is a neoclassical high-contrast fashion serif with fine hairline joins, sharp bracketed serifs, small counters and wide caps that sit on a tight baseline grid. The contrast is the design, so it needs size and a smooth stock, and the small counters make a long word read as a dense mark rather than as a line of text. It needs roughly 30 mm for the hairlines to hold, and it is best in one ink on smooth coated stock or as a foil on a matte cover.

Neoclassical contrast reads as a couture masthead, which is what a fashion title puts on a cover. The wide caps fill the trim with one word, and the hairline joins give the cover its elegance without an illustration or a heavy fill.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 110 pt, cover lines 10/14 pt, 18 mm margins and 10 mm trim. Lookbook 240 x 320 mm, opener 96 pt, captions 8/11 pt. Poster A2, word 300 mm, details 22/28 pt, 30 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A web-offset run at 110 pt drops hairline joins under 0.08 mm and the counters break open. Confirm coated stock and a 0.12 mm minimum, and check one printed signature before the full run.
A neoclassical serif gives a suite a fashion-house formality instead of a script, which is what a modern city wedding wants. The wide caps hold the couple's names at 26 pt and the hairline brackets print crisply on smooth card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 26 pt, details 9/13 pt, 18 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 14 pt, dishes 9/13 pt. Programme 105 x 148 mm, heading 12 pt, text 8/11 pt.
Pre-production check
Heavy cotton stock drinks ink and the hairlines swell until the contrast that makes the face work disappears. Print one proof on the final card, and switch to a smooth 300 gsm if the joins thicken.
High-contrast caps read as a seasonal campaign rather than a menu, which is what a beach club uses to look like a fashion house. The wide caps hold on a laminated menu in sunlight, and one ink keeps a seasonal reprint affordable.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Lookbook 240 x 320 mm, cover 84 pt, 20 mm margins. Menu 210 x 297 mm, sections 22 pt, items 9/12 pt, 15 mm margins. Card 105 x 148 mm, word 30 pt, 12 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A laminated poolside menu sits in direct sun and a hairline serif on white glares, so guests tilt the card to read it. Set the sections in a heavier weight and keep hairlines for the cover, and check one laminated menu outdoors.
