Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Comic Charm is a wide retro-modern rounded display with tucked crossbars: extended letters with fully rounded corners, crossbars on the A and H that tuck under the adjacent stroke rather than sitting flush and a soft even weight that reads as a mid-century sign. The tucked crossbars are the design and they close first when the face is reduced. It needs roughly 26 mm for the tuck and the round corner to read, and it is best in two flat inks on cream, or one ink plus paper where the tuck prints as a gap.

A wide rounded retro display reads as a mid-century shop sign rather than a corporate logo. The tucks hold at 60 mm on a board, and two flat inks print the board and the cards in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Board 600 x 900 mm, word 100 mm with 10 mm tuck clearance, items 26 mm, 30 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 20 mm, 5 mm margins. Bag print 200 x 250 mm, word 50 mm, 15 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On an 85 x 55 mm card the tucks fill and the name reads as a solid bar. Raise the card word to 26 mm, and check one card before the run.
A wide rounded display turns a feature into a period sign rather than a styled headline. The tucks hold at 44 pt on a coated page, and two flat inks keep the tuck gap open against a tinted panel.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Header 44 pt with 8 mm tuck clearance, body 9/13 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins and a 12 mm head. Cover flash 90 x 60 mm, word 32 pt, 6 mm margins. Pull quote 32 pt.
Pre-production check
At 32 pt on the pull quote the tucks close and the quote reads as a solid block. Keep the face at 40 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
A mid-century rounded display reads as a hand-painted spring poster rather than a modern flyer. The tucks hold at 90 mm, and two flat inks print the poster and the stall cards in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A3, word 90 mm with 12 mm tuck clearance, details 28 mm, 18 mm margins. Stall card 105 x 75 mm, word 20 mm, 5 mm margins. Bag label 90 x 50 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On a 90 x 50 mm bag label at 16 mm the tucks merge into the stroke and the word reads as a blob. Raise the label word to 22 mm, and print one label before the batch.
