Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Humble Teacher is a tall hand-cut classroom poster and bulletin-board display: narrow upright letters with visible scissor-cut edges, slightly mismatched heights and blunt corners, drawn to look as if cut from coloured paper and pinned up. The cut edges are the design and they silt when the face is reduced. It needs roughly 24 mm for the cut edge and the height mismatch to read, and it is best as a one-colour vinyl or paper cut on a light ground, or one ink print where the cut edge reads as a shadow.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Humble Teacher’s stroke geometry.
A hand-cut display reads as pinned paper letters rather than a corporate logo, which is what a classroom supplier wants on a sticker. The cut edges hold at 30 mm, and one ink prints the card and the sticker in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 24 mm with 6 mm cut clearance, details 7/9 pt, 6 mm margins. Sticker 60 x 60 mm, word 20 mm, 4 mm die margin. Poster A3, word 120 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 60 x 60 mm sticker at 20 mm closes the cut edges into a straight line and the name reads as a plain bar. Raise the sticker word to 30 mm, and check one sheet before the run.
A hand-cut display gives an education feature the look of a classroom board rather than a styled headline. The cuts hold at 40 pt on an uncoated page, and one ink keeps the mismatched heights honest.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Header 40 pt with 8 mm cut clearance, body 9/13 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins and a 12 mm head. Opener 32 pt with 10 mm of clear ground beside the image. Caption 8/11 pt in a 40 mm outer-margin rail.
Pre-production check
At 32 pt on the opener the cut edge silts and the word reads as a smudge. Keep the face at 40 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
A hand-cut display is the bulletin board itself, so a teacher can build a wall without any art. The cuts hold at 140 mm on a board, and one ink prints the cards and the certificates in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Bulletin board 1200 x 900 mm, letters 160 mm with 12 mm cut clearance, 25 mm margins. Name card 105 x 75 mm, name 20 mm, 5 mm margins. Certificate A5 landscape, word 30 mm, 12 mm margins.
Pre-production check
At 20 mm on a name card the cut edges merge and the name reads as a bar after a term of handling. Raise cards to 26 mm and laminate them, and make one before the class set.
