Rounded marker display with a squiggle inline
Musa is a rounded hand-drawn display in heavy black caps, each stroke carrying a thin white squiggle inline that wanders along its length, with a soft glow lifting the word off an abstract gradient ground.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The four letters are built from thick, soft-ended strokes that look drawn with a marker rather than constructed, and inside each stroke a thin white line meanders from the entry to the exit, doubling back on itself in the way a doodled highlight would. Because the inner line follows the stroke rather than the letter's skeleton, the shapes stay open and irregular, and the M and the A carry the same loose symmetry, which keeps the word readable despite the decoration. A dark drop shadow sits under the whole word and the glow around it is a halo rather than a gradient, so the letters read against a ground of soft colour waves in navy, teal and pink. There is no other type on the page, and the specimen's only claim is the effect itself, which is honest for a face that exists to be used at poster scale and in short words.

A rounded marker face with an inner highlight reads as hand-painted neon without a photograph of a sign, and the soft glow makes it work on a dark card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A6 card: the word at 44 pt in white with a 2 pt glow in the same hue as the ground, the details in a light sans at 8 pt beneath. Print the glow as a screened halo rather than a drop shadow, and keep the whole card to dark ground plus one bright hue.
Pre-production check
Check the inner squiggle at 44 pt, where a thin white line under 0.3 pt will disappear and the letters will read as solid blobs. Confirm the 8 pt details sit outside the glow and that the halo does not band on a digital press.
A glowing marker word makes a strong sticker on a dark can or a laptop lid, and the inline gives the mark a drawn quality that survives being reduced to a 40 mm die cut.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Die-cut a 40 mm sticker: the word at 12 pt with the inner line thickened to 0.6 pt for the small size, and a 3 mm bleed of the halo colour beyond the letters. Keep the die line 2 mm clear of the glow's edge so the cut is not visible.
Pre-production check
Check the 12 pt version on the actual vinyl, where a 0.3 pt highlight fills in entirely; thicken the squiggle for small sizes rather than scaling the art. Confirm the halo prints as a clean ring and that the die line clears the glow at every point.
A glowing hand-drawn word suits a night event where the sign is read in low light, and the inline makes the letters look like a lit tube sign rather than flat vinyl.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print 600 by 400 mm on dark board: the word at 150 mm cap height, the halo as a 6 mm screened ring, and the time in a small tracked sans at 18 mm along the bottom. Keep the type at least 40 mm from the frame so the glow stays even.
Pre-production check
Check the glow at full size on the proof, where a screened halo can show a visible step between tints; add a third tint step to smooth it. Confirm the 18 mm time line stays legible from four metres and that the darkest part of the ground does not swallow the black letters.
