Visual anatomy & craft review
Marie Clarie is a vintage neon-sign and badge monoline script: an even tubular stroke that reads as bent glass, joined letters, a shallow slant and a badge frame of concentric rules around the word with small dots at the corners. The monoline is what lets it work as a neon tube, and the badge rules are the finest element. It needs roughly 28 mm for the tube and the badge rule to read, and it is best as a one-colour neon or vinyl job, or a flat two-colour print on a dark ground.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Marie Clarie’s stroke geometry.
A monoline badge script reads as bent neon rather than a printed logo, which is what a small bar wants in its window. The tube holds at 60 mm on a sign, and one colour covers the sign and the cards in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Neon sign 900 x 400 mm, word 120 mm with 12 mm tube clearance, badge rule 8 mm, 25 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 20 mm, 5 mm margins. Coaster 95 mm square, word 14 mm, 5 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 95 mm coaster at 14 mm closes the monoline under 1 mm and the name reads as a dotted rule. Raise the coaster word to 20 mm, and cut one coaster before the batch.
A badge script reads as a lit diner sign rather than a printed menu, which is what an autumn pop-up wants at dusk. The tube holds at 90 mm on a sign, and one ink prints the sign and the price cards in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 1200 x 400 mm, word 140 mm with 12 mm tube clearance, badge rule 10 mm, 25 mm safe edge. Price card 105 x 75 mm, item 18 mm, price 24 mm. Bag print 200 x 250 mm, word 50 mm, 15 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 105 x 75 mm price card at 18 mm merges the badge rule into the word and the price reads as a bar. Raise the price to 26 mm, and check one card under the evening lamp.
A neon badge script reads as a lit sign on a dark evening street where a printed board would vanish. The tube holds at 100 mm on a sign, and one colour covers the sign and the coasters in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 900 x 600 mm, word 130 mm with 12 mm tube clearance, badge rule 10 mm, 25 mm margins. Menu board 600 x 900 mm, items 26 mm, 30 mm margins. Coaster 95 mm square, word 16 mm, 5 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 95 mm coaster at 16 mm closes the tube into a blob and the name reads as a stain. Raise the coaster word to 22 mm, and cut one coaster before the batch.
