Visual anatomy & craft review
Happy Easter is a decorative alphabet in which each letter is drawn inside an egg medallion: a pastel oval with a patterned band, small bunny ears perching on top and a thin contour around the whole shape. The ears extend above the egg, so a word grows taller, and the pattern band is the finest detail. It needs roughly 32 mm for the ears and the pattern band to read, and it is best in three pastel inks on white, or one ink with the pattern left as paper on tinted card.

An egg-medallion alphabet announces a spring theme in the lettering itself, so the card needs no illustration. The ears read at 30 mm, and three pastels print the card, the hunt signs and the bag labels in a single order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 105 x 148 mm, word 30 mm with 8 mm ear clearance, message 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Hunt sign 400 x 300 mm, word 70 mm, 20 mm margins. Bag label 80 x 50 mm, word 14 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 80 x 50 mm bag label at 14 mm closes the pattern band and the ears become specks. Raise the label word to 20 mm, and print one label before the batch.
An egg medallion reads as a spring birthday rather than a generic party, which is what an April child wants on the invite. The oval shapes cut cleanly at 40 mm, and three pastels print the invite and the wraps as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 40 mm with 8 mm ear clearance, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 44 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 14 mm clear above the ears. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A cup wrap printed across the taper doubles the egg contour at the seam and the word reads as a row of shadows. Keep the word inside the flat 60 mm centre band, and wrap one cup before the party.
An egg alphabet gives a school spring fair a poster made for the season rather than bought from a catalogue. The pattern band holds at 70 mm on a poster, and three inks print the poster and the stall labels in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A3, word 80 mm with 12 mm ear clearance, details 24 mm, 15 mm margins. Stall label 105 x 60 mm, word 20 mm, 5 mm margins. Certificate A5 landscape, word 28 mm, 12 mm margins.
Pre-production check
At 20 mm on a stall label the pastel band drops out under lamination and the egg reads as a plain oval. Raise the label word to 26 mm or use the outline cut, and laminate one label before the set.
