Decorative Easter capitals built as panels with cut-out motifs
Easter 2 is a decorative capital alphabet in which each letter is a solid rectangular panel with bunnies, eggs and daisies cut through it, so a word reads as a row of decorated blocks rather than as lettering.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The E carries a chick and a daisy inside its panel, the A cuts a rabbit through its apex, the S holds a basket shape, the T splits a flower between its arms and the R closes a rabbit at its foot, all at a solid display weight with straight panel edges and motifs cut as negative space. The motifs are the character: they are drawn inside the letter rather than around it, which is why the face needs 60 pt before the cut-outs read and why the sample sets one word at large size. It wants a light ground and one ink, and it cuts well in paper because every panel is solid. The mauve caption, the letters above and the decorative icon line are presentation; the motif-filled word is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Easter’s stroke geometry.
The cut-out motifs read as decoration from a distance, and the solid panels keep the flags rigid when they are cut from card at 70 mm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cut an A4 flag set: set one letter per flag at 70 mm, keep 8 mm of card around every panel, and thread the string through 4 mm holes 6 mm from the top edge.
Pre-production check
Thread holes punched close to a panel corner tear on a windy day; check the flag and move the holes 4 mm further from the panel.
The motif letters suit a children's outdoor event, and the solid blocks stay readable on a garden sign at 90 mm in a single ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 sign: set the headline at 90 mm, keep 30 mm of border all round, and set the start time in a 20 pt rounded sans under the word with 25 mm of clearance.
Pre-production check
A decorative alphabet set over a photographed ground loses its motifs; check the sign and keep the ground plain behind the word.
The solid panels cut cleanly in card, and the cut-out motifs give a cake topper a decorated edge at 45 mm for each letter.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cut a 200 mm topper: set each letter at 45 mm on a 210 gsm card, keep 6 mm of card inside every motif, and glue the row to two 4 mm skewers placed behind the third and the second-to-last letter.
Pre-production check
A motif cut close to a panel edge tears when the card is handled; check the panel and keep 5 mm of material inside every cut.
