High-contrast luxury serif with a swash descender and ball terminals
Bulgary is a high-contrast luxury serif in which the thick stems swell against hairlines, the terminals finish as small balls and the y drops a wide swash, so a single word carries the weight of a film title.

Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The B keeps a narrow upper bowl over a wider lower one, the u holds two even stems, the l ends in a small ball, the g closes a tight loop and the y throws its tail out in a long curved swash that runs under the whole word, all at a fashion-poster contrast with very fine serifs. The swash is the character: it makes the word wider than the letters alone and gives the line a cinematic finish without any ornament added on top. The hairlines want a coated stock or a screen at 90 pt; at 18 pt they break up on uncoated paper. The black satin, the model, the lace and the letter-spaced caps above and below are presentation; the serif word is the face itself.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Bulgary’s stroke geometry.
The hairline serifs and the swash tail give a plain glass bottle the look of a couture label, and the word still holds at 22 pt on a narrow strip.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 by 30 mm label: set the name at 22 pt on the centre line, let the y swash run into the right margin, and keep 4 mm of clear paper under the tail so nothing collides with the volume line beneath.
Pre-production check
A hairline stem thinner than 0.2 mm drops out on a flexo label; check the printed strip and ask for a raised minimum stroke rather than enlarging the word.
The tall contrast survives a full-page cover, and the ball terminals keep the line from reading as a plain didone at 120 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the title at 120 pt across the upper third, align the swash of the y with the outer margin, and set the standfirst in a 9 pt caps sans 26 mm below the baseline.
Pre-production check
At 120 pt a swash can cross the trim; check the imposed page and pull the line inward rather than cutting the tail.
The luxury register suits a black-tie evening invitation, and the single swash gives a two-name card its one flourish at 30 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm card: set both names at 30 pt on two centred lines, kern the pair tight, and keep 20 mm of margin so the descender of the first line clears the ascenders of the second.
Pre-production check
Two stacked high-contrast lines can close up in the gap; check the proof and open the leading to 1.4 times the size.
