Visual anatomy & craft review
Farmhouse Handmade is an airy tall-looped monoline handwritten script: a fine even stroke, very high ascenders that loop twice, wide spacing and long tapered descenders that drop below the baseline. The airy spacing needs a wide measure and the descenders close the line below, so stacked text needs extra leading. It needs roughly 26 mm for the double loop and the fine stroke to read, and it is best in one warm ink on smooth or uncoated stock, or a single dark colour where the thin stroke still carries.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Farmhouse Handmade’s stroke geometry.
A tall-looped monoline reads as hand-lettered shop signage rather than a printed logo. The loops hold at 70 mm on a board, and one warm ink prints the board and the cards in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Board 900 x 600 mm, script 120 mm with 14 mm loop clearance, items 26 mm, 25 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, script 20 mm, 6 mm margins. Bag print 200 x 250 mm, script 50 mm, 15 mm margins.
Pre-production check
On an 85 x 55 mm card the monoline lands near 0.2 mm and the name prints as a broken thread. Raise the card word to 26 mm, and check one card before the run.
A tall-looped monoline reads as a painted farm board rather than a printed advert, which is what a stand wants on a fence. The loops hold at 100 mm on a board, and one warm ink prints the board, the cards and the crates in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Board 900 x 600 mm, script 120 mm with 14 mm loop clearance, items 26 mm, 25 mm margins. Price card 105 x 75 mm, item 18 mm, price 24 mm. Crate print 300 x 200 mm, script 60 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 105 x 75 mm price card at 18 mm drops the fine stroke under 0.3 mm and the item reads as a broken thread in low light. Raise the item to 24 mm, and check one card under the market lamp.
A monoline script reads as a written note rather than a printed acknowledgement. The loops hold at 22 mm, and one ink prints the card, the label and the tag in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, script 22 mm with 12 mm loop clearance, note 8/11 pt, 14 mm margins. Jar label 70 x 45 mm, script 12 mm, 4 mm die margin. Market tag 50 x 90 mm, script 12 mm, 5 mm hole with 8 mm clear.
Pre-production check
A 70 x 45 mm jar label at 12 mm closes the loops on wet-strength paper and the word reads as a bar. Raise the label to 16 mm, and check one labelled jar before the batch.
