Visual anatomy & craft review
Easter is a bold bouncy spring brush-calligraphy script: a wet loaded stroke, connected letters, a rising baseline and small blunt flicks at the terminals instead of long tails. The bounce grows the word vertically and the loaded weight closes the loops at small sizes. It needs roughly 24 mm for the brush edge and the flick to read, and it is best in one soft pastel or bright ink on white, or a single deep colour on cream where the brush edge prints as texture.

A bouncy brush script reads as hand-lettered rather than typeset, which is what a spring card wants. The bounce holds at 26 mm, and one bright ink prints the card, the signs and the labels in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 26 mm with 8 mm flick clearance, message 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Hunt sign 400 x 300 mm, word 70 mm, 20 mm margins. Bag label 80 x 50 mm, word 14 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 80 x 50 mm bag label at 14 mm closes the brush edge into a solid stroke and the greeting reads as a smear. Raise the label word to 20 mm, and print one label before the batch.
A bouncy brush script separates a spring birthday from the generic Easter card, which is what an April child wants. The bounce holds at 40 mm on an invite, and one ink prints the invite and the wraps as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 40 mm with 8 mm flick clearance, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 44 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 12 mm clear. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A cup wrap printed across the taper doubles the bounced baseline at the seam and the word reads as a wave. Keep the word inside the flat 60 mm centre band, and wrap one cup before the party.
A brush script gives a small café a hand-painted board rather than a printed menu. The loaded stroke holds at 60 mm on a board, and one ink prints the board and the cups in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Menu board 600 x 900 mm, word 90 mm with 10 mm flick clearance, items 26 mm, 30 mm margins. Cup print 70 x 50 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 14 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 70 x 50 mm cup panel at 16 mm closes the brush edge and the name reads as a solid bar. Raise cup type to 22 mm, and check one printed cup before the order.
