Visual anatomy & craft review
Christian is an airy monoline pen script with a deep-bellied C loop and an arching t crossbar that curls back over the word like a canopy. The stroke is uniform, so the face plots and transfers predictably and holds at 12 mm on a card, while the canopy gives a short phrase a natural finishing gesture. Because the t-bar arches above the word, the layout needs headroom, and the looser connections mean a long phrase should be broken into lines rather than strung out. It is a card, keepsake and invitation face.

A monoline pen script reads as a written greeting rather than a festive graphic, which is what a personal card is for. The arching t-bar gives a short line a canopy without an illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 120 x 170 mm, greeting 22 mm with 8 mm headroom for the t arch, message 8/12 pt, 14 mm margins. Tag 50 x 90 mm, word 9 mm, hole 5 mm clear. Print 210 x 297 mm, word 50 mm.
Pre-production check
The t arch rises above the cap line and is the first element cropped by a tight frame. Declare the artwork box, and check one framed print for a clipped arch before hanging.
An airy monoline keeps a wedding suite light, and the deep C loop gives a name a calligraphic opening without weight. Uniform stroke prints on textured stock where a shaded script fails.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 24 mm, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins. Service card A5, headings 14 pt, hymns 8.5/12 pt. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 9 mm.
Pre-production check
A 9 mm place card holds this monoline but the C loop can collide with the table number. Lay out one card at final size, and drop the loop alternate if it crosses the number column.
A light pen script reads as sincere rather than decorative, which matters on a sympathy card. The even weight stays legible at 9 mm on a small tag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Note 105 x 148 mm, greeting 16 mm, message 7/10 pt, 12 mm margins. Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 14 mm with 8 mm headroom, 12 mm margins. Tag 45 x 80 mm, word 8 mm, hole 5 mm clear and 3 mm trim.
Pre-production check
Sympathy cards are printed on textured stock and a 0.35 mm monoline speckles. Print one proof on the actual card, and move the greeting to a smooth-face insert if the line breaks.
