Visual anatomy & craft review
The word fills the sheet in capitals, and the face is a hand: the S is a narrow curve, the u and the c are close in width, the l and the e lean a little further than the rest, and the t is a short cross with a high bar, while the letters sit at slightly different heights so the word reads as written rather than spaced. The stroke is medium and fairly even with rounded terminals, the spacing is tight and the counters are narrow, which keeps a nine-letter word inside a card. The companion line beneath is the same face at a smaller size, which shows how the hand behaves as a caption, and the specimen sits on a white plaster wall with three brightly coloured cacti below. Succulent is a display hand for packaging, labels, posters and social graphics, and it is at its best in one long word at a large size.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Succulent’s stroke geometry.
A tall hand-lettered capital reads on a board without a script's formality, and the narrow letters fit a long greeting on one line.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 400 by 250 mm board: set the greeting at 76 pt on one line, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath before the note at 20 pt, and hold 18 mm of border on all four sides.
Pre-production check
A bouncing baseline can look crooked on a board; print one at the final size and check the level before the set.
A tall narrow hand fits a long shop name on a short label, and the hand-drawn tone suits a shop that sells living things rather than machinery.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 45 mm label: set the shop name at 15 pt on one line, keep 5 mm of clear ground beneath before the address at 5.5 pt, and hold 4 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Narrow counters fill on a textured label; print one on the real stock and check the e and the c before the order.
A tall hand sets a relaxed tone at the top of a menu, and the narrow forms let a long heading sit above two columns of courses.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 120 by 200 mm menu: set the heading at 30 pt on one line, set the courses at 10 pt with 6 mm between blocks, and hold 14 mm of margin on all four sides of the card.
Pre-production check
A tall face takes a lot of vertical space; print one menu at the finished size and check the room for the courses before the run.
