Bold loose floral dingbats with spiral blooms, rounded seedheads and leafy stems
Bloomingds hands over a set of hand-drawn flowers rather than letters, each bloom standing on a single ruled stem, and the cover shows that heads and stems can be paired in any combination.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The row of blossoms runs along a thin line: a rayed daisy, a stalk of round buds, a spiral rose, a swirl bloom, a leafy sprig, a spray of stamens and a small cluster of simple petals, all drawn in an even black line on crumpled white paper. Above them a rough hand-lettered title and subtitle sit in magenta, and a handwritten note at the foot explains that heads and stems mix. The drawing style is deliberately loose, with wobbling circles and dots that do not always repeat, so the set reads as doodles rather than botanical illustrations. Because they are glyphs, the spacing is the only layout control, and the stems all reach the same baseline so a row can share one ground line.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Bloomdings’s stroke geometry.
The drawn blooms give a spring notice an illustrated edge without commissioning artwork, and the shared baseline keeps a row tidy along a page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A5 flyer: place eight flowers along the lower edge at 14 mm each, keep 6 mm of clear space above the row, and keep 5 mm of margin so no stem touches the trim.
Pre-production check
Heads and stems combine; check the file before assuming every pairing meets cleanly at the joint.
A few drawn stems break up a plain menu, and the mixable heads let the same set decorate a suite without repeating one flower.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A5 menu: set three flowers at 18 mm along the right margin, keep 8 mm of clear space between each bloom, and keep 6 mm from the flowers to the text block edge.
Pre-production check
Fine line weights can print grey; check a printed proof before running even a small order.
The loose doodles suit a quiet feature better than a stock illustration, and the even line reproduces well at small print sizes.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 170 by 240 mm page: place five blooms at 12 mm in a loose row, keep 7 mm of clear space around each head, and keep 12 mm of margin from the text block before the caption at 9 pt.
Pre-production check
Mixed heads differ in width; check the arrangement at final size before the page is laid out.
