Fine grain and micro-texture excel in 300 DPI print, sublimation, and screen print rather than small vinyl weeding.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Street Crack is a gritty urban brush-tag and distressed street display: a ragged loaded stroke with spatter along the edges, broken joins where the brush skipped and a hard outline that reads as a sprayed tag on a rough wall. The spatter and the skips are the design and they silt into a solid mass when the face is reversed or printed small. It needs roughly 30 mm for the skip and the spatter to read, and it is best in one spray colour on a wall, or a flat two-colour print on uncoated stock.

A gritty brush tag turns a street-culture page into its own wall. The skips hold at 44 pt on an uncoated page, and one spray colour keeps the spatter crisp.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Header 44 pt with 10 mm skip clearance, body 9/13 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins and a 12 mm head. Opener 36 pt with 10 mm of clear ground. Pull quote 32 pt with 8 mm above and 8 mm below.
Pre-production check
At 32 pt on the pull quote the spatter silts and the quote reads as a solid block. Keep the face at 40 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
A brush tag reads as a sprayed wall mark rather than a corporate logo, which is what a skate shop wants over its shutter. The skips hold at 90 mm on a wall sign, and one colour covers the sign and the stickers in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Wall sign 1200 x 600 mm, word 180 mm with 15 mm skip clearance, 40 mm safe edge. Sticker 90 x 60 mm, word 30 mm, 5 mm die margin. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 20 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 90 x 60 mm sticker at 30 mm closes the skips into a solid tile and the name reads as a smear. Raise the sticker word to 40 mm, and check one sheet before the run.
A distressed brush tag reads as a scratched warning rather than a cartoon monster. The skips hold at 120 mm on a poster, and one ink prints the poster and the tickets in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 120 mm with 14 mm skip clearance, details 40 mm, 20 mm margins. Ticket 100 x 50 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm perforation. Door sign 250 x 350 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 100 x 50 mm ticket at 12 mm merges the spatter into the stroke and the word reads as a barbed bar. Raise the ticket to 18 mm, and print one ticket before the batch.
