Visual anatomy & craft review
Rustic Endstory is a two-cut vintage typewriter duo in a regular and a stamp version: even bracketed stems, open counters and a level baseline in the regular, plus a second cut that shows the worn ink and uneven strike of a rubber stamp. The pair lets a page set body text and then stamp a heading in the same voice, and the stamp cut is the weaker element in print. The regular holds at 9 pt and the stamp needs roughly 22 mm for its strike texture to read.

A typewriter pair lets an archive feature set honest body text and then stamp its header in one voice. The regular holds 9 pt in two columns, and the stamp carries the opener at 24 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Body 9/13 pt over two columns of 82 mm with 18 mm margins, 5 mm gutter and a 12 mm head. Stamped header 24 pt with 8 mm strike clearance. Caption 8/11 pt in a 40 mm rail.
Pre-production check
At 24 pt the stamp cut's uneven strike silts into grey and the header reads as a faded rule. Raise the stamp to 30 pt or print it from a soft plate, and proof one signature at 1:1.
A typewriter pair gives a country fair a duplicated programme rather than a designed flyer. The regular sets the schedule at 9 pt, and the stamp prints the ticket at 20 mm in the same order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Programme 105 x 148 mm, stamped head 22 pt, schedule 9/12 pt, 12 mm margins. Ticket 100 x 50 mm, stamp 20 mm with 6 mm strike clearance, 4 mm perforation. Prize label 90 x 60 mm, stamp 24 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 100 x 50 mm ticket at 20 mm closes the strike texture into a solid bar. Raise the ticket to 26 mm, and print one ticket before the batch.
A typewriter pair reads as a duplicated school paper rather than a worksheet. The regular sets 9 pt in three columns, and the stamp carries the masthead at 40 mm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Paper 210 x 297 mm, masthead 40 mm with 8 mm strike clearance, body 9/12 pt in three columns of 56 mm, 15 mm margins. Notice 210 x 297 mm, head 24 mm, items 9/12 pt.
Pre-production check
At 9 pt in three columns the regular's serifs and the rules take the same weight and the page reads as a grey field. Drop to two columns at 9.5 pt, and check one copy before the class set.
