Visual anatomy & craft review
Nolienne is a tall whimsical handwritten display that mixes slender marker stems with playful spiral terminals and an alternating rainbow palette, and it ships with no locked-in holiday clip art, so the same face works in December and in June. The spirals sit at the ends of stems, which grows the artwork box above and below the word, and the slender strokes need size before they hold in print. It needs roughly 24 mm for the spirals to read as deliberate curls, and it is best in one colour on white or in alternating brights on cream.

Slender spiral lettering reads as a hand-lettered seasonal card, which is what a family sends. The spirals give the greeting its charm without a printed motif, and the tall forms fit a long wish in a narrow card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 20 mm with 8 mm spiral clearance, message 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Tag 50 x 90 mm, word 10 mm with a 5 mm hole and 6 mm clear card. Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 110 mm, 40 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Spirals extend above the cap line and get cropped when a card file is fitted to a die. Measure the artwork from the top of the spiral, and check one cut card before the batch.
A whimsical handwritten face reads as a teacher's own lettering, which is what a primary wall shows. The tall skinny forms fit a long child's name on a 60 mm tag, and one ink prints the whole set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Display 1200 x 300 mm, letters 180 mm cut from card with 12 mm bridges. Tag 60 x 40 mm, name 9 mm, 3 mm margins. Notice A4, header 24 pt, body 11/15 pt, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 9 mm name tag closes the spiral terminal into a dot and the name loses its character. Keep tags at 12 mm or use the plain terminals, and check one printed tag before the set.
A spiral handwritten face reads as a note written in a hurry and meant, which is what a gift thank-you is. The tall forms hold a long greeting at 9 pt, and the spirals give the card a decorative end without a border.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 120 x 170 mm, greeting 22 mm with 8 mm spiral clearance, message 8/12 pt, 14 mm margins. Tag 45 x 80 mm, word 9 mm with a 4 mm hole and 6 mm clear card. Band 300 x 60 mm, word 20 mm, 10 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A wrap band folded around a corner cracks where a spiral crosses the crease. Keep the word 10 mm clear of each fold, and check one wrapped parcel before the batch.
