Visual anatomy & craft review
merry is written in a thin connected script across the top of the card, and its style is a light monoline with small loops and a level baseline. CHRISTMAS fills the width beneath in a narrow serif whose letters are each a different festive colour — red, green, gold and a deep ochre — with a soft white outline that separates them from the cream ground. The two weights are deliberately far apart, so the script reads as handwriting and the serif as a printed block. Two red ribbon banners at the upper left and lower right carry the notes about the file, and two captions in tracked caps name the pair. The duo is a seasonal combination for cards, tags and food packaging: the serif carries the loud word in colour, the script carries the greeting, and the narrow serifs keep a long word on one line.

A thin script over a colourful narrow serif is a complete card front, and the colour-per-letter serif does the decoration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 120 by 120 mm square card: set the main word at 34 pt in the serif, set the greeting at 20 pt in the script, keep 14 mm of clear ground beneath, and hold 12 mm of margin.
Pre-production check
Home printers flatten the white outline on coloured letters; print one card on the actual machine and check the edges before the batch.
The pair gives a hamper a greeting and a product word in one purchase, and the narrow serif fits a long name on a small label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 by 45 mm label: set the product at 13 pt in the serif, set the greeting at 8 pt in the script with 5 mm of clear ground, and hold 4 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Four colours on a small die need registration; print one on the real stock and check the outline before the order.
A small tag needs a greeting and a name in a short width, and the narrow serif plus the fine script fit both without crowding.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 45 by 80 mm tag: set the greeting at 12 pt in the serif, set the name at 8 pt in the script with 5 mm of clear ground, and hold 4 mm from the widest letter to the punch hole.
Pre-production check
The outline disappears on a kraft tag; print one on the real stock and check the letters before the order.
