Hatched heart-opening block
Love Alice is a display face on a lined paper ground: broad capitals with rough diagonal hatching, large heart-shaped openings where counters would be, fine pale outlines and solid hearts set into some letters, in pink on cream, with small presenting and descriptor lines at the head and foot.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The plate is a sweet specimen, and the construction is unusual: the counters are cut as hearts and the fill is a rough diagonal hatch, so the word reads as something drawn with a marker on a notebook page rather than as type. The hatch sets a moderate size floor, because the stripes close into a solid pink first, and the pale outline separates each letter from the lined ground. The presenting line and the descriptor are product copy, and the small hearts at the corners are staging. It suits a card, a tag and a journal page for a romantic or a Valentine subject, and the hatched fill means a print check at the intended size is worth doing.

A heart-opening display names an engagement, and the notebook feel suits a card that is meant to look hand-lettered. It suits a hand-lettered card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A6 card: the greeting at 28 pt, the names in a 10 pt serif, and the date at 9 pt. Keep 15 mm margins, print two colours on a cream card and leave 12 mm at the foot for a line.
Pre-production check
Check the 28 pt greeting at home-print resolution, where the hatch fills in; keep the stripes above 0.6 mm. Confirm the names read at arm's length and that the card folds flat.
A heart tag finishes a present, and the outlined letters hold at a small die where a solid romantic script would break up.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print 45 by 70 mm tags: the name at 11 pt, the year at 7.5 pt, and two colours on a white card. Keep 5 mm inside the die, keep the stripes above 0.5 mm and punch clear of a heart.
Pre-production check
Check the 11 pt name on a tag, where the hatch closes; use the outline cut there. Confirm the year reads at arm's length and that the tags tie cleanly.
A hatched display prints as party kit, and the pink holds on a light shirt where a dark face would look severe. It reads as party kit.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 240 mm chest graphic: the greeting at 50 mm cap height, the year at 24 mm, and two inks on a light shirt. Keep the stripes at 3 mm and place the graphic 80 mm below the collar.
Pre-production check
Check the screen at actual mesh, where a 3 mm stripe can fill; enlarge it to 4 mm. Wash-test one shirt and confirm the hearts stay open after five cycles.
