Visual anatomy & craft review
Grunvex is an ultra-heavy puffy street-block display with rounded graffiti-slab silhouettes, tightly touching capitals, tiny slit counters and a subtle worn-ink bite on the edges, so a word reads as a painted block panel rather than a tag. The slit counters are very small, which means the face needs size to stay legible, and the touching letters make the word behave as one mass. It needs roughly 34 mm for the slits to read, and it is best in jet black on acid yellow or in one flat ink on a dark ground.

Puffy block panels read as a poster painted in one pass, which is what a street-culture title wants on a cover. The mass fills the trim at 96 pt, and the worn edge gives the cover texture without a photograph.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 96 pt, cover lines 9/12 pt, 18 mm margins and 10 mm trim. Opener 420 x 297 mm, headline 120 mm, body 9/13 pt. Poster A2, word 280 mm, details 22/28 pt, 30 mm margins.
Pre-production check
At 96 pt the slit counters are 2 mm wide, and uncoated stock gaining ink closes them into a solid block. Print coated or raise the title to 110 pt, and check one cover before the run.
A puffy block mark reads as a brand that came out of a scene, which is what a streetwear label sells. The heavy mass holds at 60 mm in plastisol, and the worn edge gives the print a used look without an extra pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tee print 280 x 160 mm, word 60 mm, 40 mm margins. Sticker 90 x 60 mm, word 18 mm, 3 mm die margin. Window vinyl 900 x 300 mm, word 150 mm, 60 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A plastisol print at 60 mm bridges the 1 mm gap between two touching letters and the word fuses into a slab. Keep the gap at 1.5 mm or raise the print to 75 mm, and approve a strike-off.
Painted block panels read as a summer street party, which is what a neighbourhood event prints. The heavy forms hold at 340 mm in vinyl, and one bright ink on black keeps the print cheap and loud.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Banner 2000 x 600 mm, word 340 mm, 120 mm margins with eyelets every 500 mm. Flyer A5, title 60 mm, lineup 8/11 pt. Stage sign 1200 x 500 mm, word 200 mm, 80 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A vinyl-cut banner at 340 mm leaves 15 mm between letters that closes as the vinyl stretches, so the word bows into a slab. Cut the word in segments with 25 mm overlaps, and check one tensioned banner.
