Visual anatomy & craft review
Graffiti Comic is a cartoon-street display with chunky flared bars, heavy black comic outlines and both punchy caps and rounded lowercase, so a word reads as a painted mural rather than a tag. The flare on the bars and the outline weight are the design, which means the face needs size for the black outline to stay even, and the bounce keeps a long line from looking mechanical. It needs roughly 30 mm before the outline reads as ink, and it is best in white inside a black keyline on a bright ground.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Graffiti Comic’s stroke geometry.
Cartoon graffiti bars read as a mural photograph turned into type, which is what a street-art feature wants on a cover. The heavy outline holds in one pass on cheap stock, and the flared bars keep a long headline readable against a busy background photograph.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 90 mm, cover lines 9/13 pt, 18 mm margins and 10 mm trim. Opener 420 x 297 mm, headline 120 mm, body 9/13 pt. Poster A2, word 280 mm, details 22/28 pt, 30 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A busy cover photograph runs behind a white word with a black outline and the outline disappears against dark areas. Add a 3 mm white halo behind the keyline, and check one printed cover at arm's length before the run.
Mural-weight comic bars read as a skate-shop identity, which is what a deck graphic and a window decal need. The heavy keyline survives a screen print on a dark deck, and the rounded lowercase lets a long shop name run along a 200 mm band without shrinking.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Deck 210 x 810 mm, word 130 mm on a 200 mm centre panel. Sticker 80 x 50 mm, word 16 mm, 3 mm die margin and 3 mm corner radius. Window vinyl 900 x 300 mm, word 150 mm, 60 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A deck graphic wraps the concave and convex of the board and a flared bar distorts at the nose. Keep the word inside the 200 mm flat centre, and check one pressed deck before the run.
Cartoon outlines read as a comic book, which is exactly the theme a superhero birthday is built around. The chunky forms cut cleanly as a banner at 140 mm, and the black keyline lets a child's name print in one bright colour on white.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 40 mm, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Banner 900 x 300 mm, word 140 mm, 40 mm margins and 20 mm clear of each eyelet. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 10 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A cup wrap crosses the taper and the heavy keyline bunches at the seam, so the name looks doubled. Keep the word inside the flat 60 mm centre band, and check one wrapped cup before the party.
