Comic Bold Large is an extra-chunky Saturday-morning cartoon block display: heavy squared bars with rounded corners, tiny counters, a slight baseline wobble and a shadow that sits behind the letters as a second flat shape. The near-solid weight means the counters close first, and the shadow shape grows the word on one side. It needs roughly 32 mm for the counters and the shadow edge to read, and it is best in two bright inks on white, or one ink plus a knocked-out shadow on coloured card.
