Visual anatomy & craft review
Editorial Adorn is a luxury duo: a high-contrast fashion sans with tapered strokes in caps, paired with an airy wide-looped copperplate script that slants across the line. The sans carries the name with thin horizontal joins, and the script carries a signed line, so the pair sets a masthead and a signature without a third font. The sans needs roughly 28 mm for the tapers to read, and the pair is best in champagne bronze and black on white or a foil on ivory.

A tapered fashion sans with copperplate is how a stylish city wedding is set, so the invitation reads as a brand rather than a greeting. The sans holds the names at 26 pt and the script signs the details, and both foil cleanly at size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 26 pt, script line 12 pt, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, dishes 9/13 pt. Sign 600 x 900 mm, names 90 mm, 25 mm frame clearance.
Pre-production check
Block foil on a 0.2 mm taper breaks and the names arrive with gaps in the thins. Foil only at 24 pt and above, print the rest in ink, and pull one foil proof before the suite.
Tapered fashion caps read as a beauty house, which is what a small cosmetics line prints on a carton. The script signs the product note, and one metallic ink on a matte carton gives a premium look without a photograph.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Carton 55 x 140 x 30 mm, name 20 pt, script 9 pt, weight 5.5 pt, 8 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 10 pt, role 5.5 pt. Shelf label 60 x 40 mm, name 9 pt, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 9 pt label name printed on a curved shelf strip closes the taper and the word reads as a solid stem. Print labels digitally or keep the name at 12 pt, and check one applied label in the aisle.
A tapered sans with copperplate reads as a fragrance gift, which is what a valentine present is. The pair sets the product name and the personal note on one card, and the tapering holds in a metallic ink on matte board.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 120 x 170 mm, name 22 pt, script note 10 pt, message 8/12 pt, 14 mm margins. Box 160 x 120 x 40 mm, word 30 pt on the lid, 20 mm margins. Tag 40 x 70 mm, word 8 pt with a 4 mm hole and 6 mm clear.
Pre-production check
A 40 mm ribbon tag cannot hold a tapered word plus a punch and the last letter is cut by the hole. Use the plain letters on small tags, and check one strung tag before the batch.
