Visual anatomy & craft review
Deluxe Jersey is a collegiate varsity block slab with an inline border: extended block letters with thick unbracketed slabs, a thin keyline running just inside the outer edge and a small notch on the terminals that reads as a stitched jersey patch. The inline border doubles the footprint and closes first when the face is reduced. It needs roughly 32 mm for the border and the notch to read, and it is best in two flat inks on jersey, or one thread colour on a patch where the border becomes an inner stitch line.

An inline-bordered varsity slab reads as a stitched jersey mark rather than a printed name. The border holds at 90 mm on a back print, and two flat inks print the shirt and the banner from one separation.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Shirt back 300 x 400 mm, word 90 mm with 12 mm border clearance, 20 mm margins. Patch 90 x 60 mm, word 40 mm, 4 mm edge margin. Banner 2000 x 600 mm, word 180 mm, 40 mm safe edge.
Pre-production check
An embroidered patch at 40 mm merges the border into the fill. Keep patch lettering at 46 mm or above, and approve one sample before the order.
An inline-bordered slab announces a sports birthday inside the lettering. The border holds at 44 mm on a topper, and two flat inks print the invite and the wraps as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 44 mm with 10 mm border clearance, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 48 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 12 mm clear. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A 130 mm topper cut along the border leaves a 1 mm outline that tears on the stick. Cut toppers to the outer silhouette, and test one before the party.
An inline-bordered varsity slab reads as a stitched sportswear mark rather than a corporate logo. The border holds at 26 mm on a card, and two flat inks print the sign and the card from one file.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 26 mm with 8 mm border clearance, details 7/9 pt, 5 mm margins. Woven tag 50 x 25 mm, word 12 mm, 2 mm margin. Shop sign 900 x 400 mm, word 120 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 50 x 25 mm woven tag at 12 mm closes the border entirely and the word stitches as a solid bar. Use a printed tag at 16 mm, and check one sample before the run.
