Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital E opens with a small internal curl and then a loop that closes back through the stem, which sets a hand-written tone the rest of the word follows. The lowercase letters are heavy and connected: the s and the m carry thick stems, the e closes against the join, the r holds a short arm and the a closes a small bowl, all leaning forward at a steady angle. Weight is heavy and constant, joins stay as thick as the stems, and the terminals are rounded rather than tapered, which is what keeps the word readable at 14 pt on a label. Counters stay open and the baseline holds level. A small heart sits inside a rule beneath the sample to show the supported ornament. The pale ground and the two caption lines are presentation; the script is the word.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Esmeralda’s stroke geometry.
The bold connected stems read at label size and the curled capital gives a small brand a signature look without a second element.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the brand at 14 pt on a 50 by 75 mm label, keep the flavour in a 6 pt sans, and leave 6 mm of margin so the curled capital does not touch the label edge.
Pre-production check
A curled capital printed small can clot at the join; check the label at final size and open the curl rather than reducing the weight.
The bold slant gives a card movement and the connected stems keep a pair of names readable at 26 pt on a landscape format.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set both names at 26 pt on a 148 by 105 mm card, set the date in a small caps serif at 8 pt, and hold 14 mm below the names so the descenders clear the date.
Pre-production check
Heavy connected letters at 26 pt can merge; check the proof at final size and separate the names with a wider space rather than shrinking them.
The bold weight survives a small die cut, and the slanted hand keeps a two-word shop name lively on a bag or a shop window.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the shop name at 12 pt on a 45 mm round sticker, keep the city in a 5 pt sans beneath it, and leave 5 mm inside the die so the rounded ends stay whole.
Pre-production check
A die cut close to a heavy stem leaves a thin strip; check the artwork against the die and keep 4 mm from the cut line.
