A two-tone collegiate varsity block shown on weathered cream stadium banner stock with red and black stripes: stacked words pair crimson-filled and navy-filled octagonal capitals inside clean dark or red outer outlines, so the line reads as a stadium banner rather than a decorated slab. The outline is even and follows the block exactly, which is what makes the two-colour fill sit cleanly, and the octagonal corners give the face its college proportions. A pennant is the natural home for a two-tone varsity block, and the heavy borders hold at the small end of a triangular format where most display faces collapse into a smudge.

Hierarchy & layout recipe

Print a 300 by 120 mm pennant: the league at 34 mm cap height, the year at 16 mm, and two inks on a felted stock. Keep 12 mm from the tapered edge and give +6 tracking so the wide borders never collide.

Pre-production check

Check the 34 mm word on the taper, where the outer outline can touch the seam; allow 12 mm of clearance. Confirm the two inks register on the felt and that the pennant hangs straight.
