Visual anatomy & craft review
Cat Mom is a pet-lover serif with cat ears, paw prints and a heartbeat line: a bracketed serif with two drawn ears rising off the caps, a small paw print replacing a counter and a heartbeat trace running along the base of some letters. The ears and the trace are the finest elements and both close first. It needs roughly 34 mm for the ear and the trace to read, and it is best in two flat inks on white, or one ink plus paper where the trace prints as a knockout.

A cat-eared serif reads as a keepsake note rather than a printed acknowledgement, which is what a pet sitter wants in the bag. The ears hold at 30 mm, and two flat inks print the card, the tag and the label in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, word 30 mm with 10 mm ear clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Tag 50 x 90 mm, word 22 mm, 5 mm hole with 8 mm clear. Jar label 70 x 45 mm, word 14 mm, 4 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 70 x 45 mm jar label at 14 mm closes the ears into two dots and the word reads as a smudge. Raise the label to 22 mm, and check one labelled jar before the batch.
A cat-eared serif announces a cat-themed birthday inside the lettering. The ears hold at 44 mm on a topper, and two flat inks print the invite and the wraps as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 40 mm with 10 mm ear clearance, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 48 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 12 mm clear. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A 130 mm topper cut between the ears leaves a thin neck that snaps on the stick. Cut toppers with a 2 mm bridge at the ear base, and test one before the party.
A cat-eared serif reads as a friendly clinic mark rather than a medical corporate logo. The ears hold at 26 mm on a card, and two flat inks print the card and the decal in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 26 mm with 8 mm ear clearance, details 7/9 pt, 5 mm margins. Door decal 200 x 300 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins. Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 90 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 200 x 300 mm decal at 60 mm traps air under the ear shapes and the vinyl lifts at the points. Use a wet-apply method, and apply one decal before the run.
