Visual anatomy & craft review
Bubble Dot is a bouncy bubble display whose letters are drawn entirely as chains of tiny pearl beads forming hollow outlines, so a word reads as beaded jewellery rather than as filled type. The chain must stay continuous for the letter to exist, which means the face needs size for individual beads to read and it cannot be used where a bead ring would close. It needs roughly 32 mm for the beads to resolve, and it is best in pastel bead colours on white or in one metallic on a soft ground.

Beaded outlines read as a string of pearls hung on a wall, which is what a nursery name banner is. The hollow construction stays light on a small label, and the pastel chain gives the word jewellery detail without an illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 400 x 300 mm, word 90 mm, 30 mm margins and 20 mm frame clearance. Banner 1200 x 400 mm, word 180 mm, 50 mm margins. Label 60 x 40 mm, name 9 mm, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 9 mm label shrinks each bead to under 0.5 mm and the chain breaks into a dotted line. Keep label names at 14 mm or use a solid face, and check one printed label at final size.
Beaded bubble letters read as a decorated sweet table, which is what a young child's party looks like. The bouncy forms cut as a 55 mm topper with the chain intact, and one pastel ink on white covers the whole set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 40 mm, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 55 mm with an 8 mm slot and 12 mm clear. Tag 50 x 90 mm, word 10 mm with a 5 mm hole and 6 mm clear card.
Pre-production check
A laser-cut topper drops beads under 1 mm and the outline arrives as a broken chain. Keep the topper at 60 mm and bead diameter at 1.5 mm, and cut one prototype before the batch.
A beaded face reads as a piece of jewellery drawn in type, which is what a small maker prints on a box. The bead chain holds at 20 mm on a card in one metallic ink, and the hollow letters keep the label light.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Label 60 x 40 mm, name 9 mm, material 4.5 pt, 3 mm die margin. Box 160 x 120 x 40 mm, word 26 mm on the lid, 18 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 10 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A metallic ink on an uncoated card sinks into the paper and the beads read as a broken grey line. Print on a coated card or use a foil, and check one proof at final size.
