Chubby retro holiday bubble face with rounded bowls and playful counters
Christmas Cookie is a chubby retro mixed-case face in which the bowls are round, the strokes are fat and some letters carry a curl, so a greeting reads as a holiday cookie tin label.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital C opens as a wide crescent, the h keeps a rounded shoulder and a fat stem, the r carries a curled arm and the second capital C repeats the crescent on the second word, all at a heavy weight with a low contrast and generously rounded joins. The lowercase keeps the same softness, with a small round counter in the o and a curled tail on the y, which is what gives the face its friendly rather than neutral tone. Because the width is generous, two words fill a card at 34 pt, and the letterfit stays open enough that the face survives a print on kraft. Counters are small, so 18 pt is the practical floor. The blurred light ground, the red and green inks, the cookie and envelope illustrations and the small labels are presentation; the display face is the two words.

The chubby retro weight carries a card at 34 pt without an illustration, and the round bowls keep the greeting warm rather than formal.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 148 by 105 mm card: set the greeting at 34 pt in two lines with 12 mm leading, set the family name in an 8 pt caps serif at the foot, and keep 16 mm of margin so the rounded terminals stay inside the trim.
Pre-production check
A heavy face at 34 pt can fill its own counters on kraft; check a proof on the actual card stock and open the smallest bowls before the run.
The retro weight reads on a tin label at 14 pt and gives a plain tin the look of a vintage grocery product sitting on a shop shelf.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 by 60 mm tin label: set the greeting at 14 pt, set the contents in a 6 pt caps serif beneath, and keep 6 mm of margin so the curled tail is not creased when the label wraps the tin's curve.
Pre-production check
A curved tin compresses the outer letters of a chubby face; check a labelled tin and keep the type block within the flat of the curve.
The friendly weight reads at 10 cm across an aisle and keeps a stall sign warm in cold light, where a thin serif would disappear.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 600 by 400 mm board: set the greeting at 10 cm across the upper half, set the prices in a 4 cm rounded sans below, and leave 8 cm of border so the round bowls sit clear of the frame and the fixings.
Pre-production check
Cold-weather vinyl on a market board lifts at the corners; check one panel and keep the lettering well inside the applied area.
