Visual anatomy & craft review
Ballpark Beauty is a heavy connected brush script in the vintage baseball idiom, with thick monoline-ish strokes, tall looped ascenders and a generous forward slant that lets a name arch across a jersey chest. The connections are wide and solid, so the face survives a screen print and a chain-stitch transfer, and the weight keeps it readable at a distance in stadium lighting. It needs roughly 30 mm before the arched rhythm reads as lettering rather than a wave, and it is at its best in one light colour on a dark ground with a solid drop shadow.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Ballpark Beauty’s stroke geometry.
A vintage baseball script is the native mark of a school team, so a jersey reads as belonging to a programme rather than a brand. Wide solid joins survive a heat-sealed twill application.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Chest print 300 x 180 mm arched over a 260 mm width, word 45 mm, 50 mm from the collar. Patch 100 x 40 mm, word 16 mm, 4 mm merrowed border. Banner 1200 x 400 mm, word 200 mm, 100 mm margins.
Pre-production check
An arched layout is drawn, not generated, and a script set on a tight arc will collide at the join between two letters. Check the arch on one 1:1 paper template against the jersey before printing, and open the curve if any pair overlaps.
This script is the visual shorthand for a vintage athletic brand, which lets a brewery borrow nostalgia without a mascot. Heavy strokes hold on a slim can wrap where a fine script would smear.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Can 65 x 115 mm print area, word 24 mm, abv 4.5 pt on a 6 mm baseline, 6 mm clear of the seam. Tap handle 60 x 200 mm, word 70 mm on the front face. Shirt print 260 x 140 mm, word 45 mm, 40 mm from the collar.
Pre-production check
Can wraps have a 6 mm seam and a base radius, and a script crossing either distorts. Lay the flat artwork against the die line, keep the word 6 mm clear of the seam, and check one filled can for a split letter.
Stadium script reads at distance under floodlights, which is where a summer league actually gets watched. One bright ink on a dark ground keeps a banner cheap.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Banner 2000 x 600 mm, word 340 mm, 120 mm margins, eyelets every 500 mm. Sign 900 x 400 mm, word 180 mm, 60 mm margins. Tag 60 x 90 mm, word 12 mm, hole 5 mm clear.
Pre-production check
Banner vinyl sags between eyelets and a long arched word bows with it. Keep 120 mm clear of every eyelet, and check one banner tensioned for a day before the tournament weekend.
