High-contrast calligraphy with long swashes
Vienna Romance is a formal calligraphy in cream over a photograph of a bride and groom: strong thick-to-thin, a capital V drawn as a wide swash and a descender that curls beneath the whole line.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The name is set on two lines with a third line below in the same face at a smaller size, and the lettering is a copperplate calligraphy: the V opens with a long upstroke, the i and the e are narrow, the a closes into a rounded bowl, the R of Romance throws a swash to the left and the y drops a full loop that swings under the second word. The contrast is high, with heavy shades and hairline joins, the slant is strong and the ascenders are tall, which is what gives a short name the width of a photograph. The words sit over a dark image, so the cream ink does the work of an outline, and the photographed street behind them supplies the tone. The face is a formal script for wedding stationery, menus and packaging: it needs a smooth stock, a large size and clear margins for the swashes.

A high-contrast calligraphy printed light on a dark cover reads as embossed without the cost, and the wide swashes fill a square format.
Hierarchy & layout recipe

A formal calligraphy sets the tone of a plated dinner before the first course, and the cream ink on a dark menu matches a candlelit room.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 210 mm menu: set the heading at 30 pt on one line, set the courses at 10 pt in a plain serif beneath, and hold 16 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
A script at ten points loses its contrast; keep the face for the heading only and print one menu to check the pairing before the run.
A wide calligraphy on a bottle reads as a house with history, and the swash capitals give a short product name the width of a label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 95 mm label: set the cuvée at 16 pt on one line, keep 7 mm of clear ground beneath before the volume at 4.5 pt, and hold 5 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
