Geometric heavy blackletter
Soarken is a heavy geometric blackletter in bone on a black ground: a broad S, clipped angular bowls, flat terminals and even stroke widths, set as one word between a small ornament above and a tracked descriptor beneath, with fine corner rules at the frame.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The plate is a plain specimen in a fine frame, and the type is set large enough that the construction reads: the bowls are clipped into angles rather than drawn with curves, and the stroke widths are even, so the face reads as a built gothic rather than a calligraphic one. That evenness is why it holds at a moderate size and on a screen, and the clipped angles are what close first when it shrinks. The ornament above, the descriptor and the corner rules are staging and product copy. It suits a poster, a label and a brand for a dark or a music subject, and it is one of the few gothic faces that reads cleanly in a small logo.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Soarken’s stroke geometry.
A geometric blackletter gives a cover weight without calligraphic detail, and the clipped bowls hold on a coated stock at display size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 90 mm cap height across 185 mm, the artist in an 11 pt sans, and the label at 8 pt. Print two colours on a coated stock and keep 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 90 mm, where a clip can clot; keep the counters open. Confirm the 8 pt label survives lamination and that the S clears the trim.
A geometric gothic reads as a music label, and the even strokes stay legible at a small logo size where a calligraphic face would fill in.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the mark at 14 pt on a sleeve, 90 mm on a poster and 10 pt on a sticker, keeping the clips sharp. Keep one colour and clear space equal to the cap height.
Pre-production check
Check the 10 pt sticker, where a clip can vanish; keep the size above 12 pt. Confirm the 90 mm poster mark reads at eight metres and that the mark holds on a woven patch.
A blackletter poster reads as a dark bill, and the bone colour holds on a black ground seen from across a room. It reads as a dark bill.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 poster: the event at 110 mm cap height, the line-up in an 18 mm sans, and the venue at 11 mm. Keep 28 mm margins, print one colour on a dark stock and keep the strokes above 3 mm.
Pre-production check
Check the A2 at five metres, where a clip can vanish; keep the strokes above 3 mm. Confirm the 11 mm venue reads at two metres and that the ornament clears the title.
