Tall heavy separate letters
Prep Queen is a tall heavy hand-drawn print in chocolate brown on pale pink: narrow letters with blunt ends, a light bounce, and a mint shadow behind each stroke.

Visual anatomy & craft review
prep sits above Queen, and the lettering is a heavy hand-drawn print with the letters kept separate: the p and the q carry full round bowls, the r and the e are narrow, the Q has a straight tail that drops below the line and the whole pair bounces between two heights. The stroke is a fat marker with blunt rounded ends, and each letter carries a flat mint shadow offset to the right, which gives the words a sticker feel without an outline. Behind them the ground is a pale pink bokeh of soft circles, and two tracked captions frame the specimen. The face is a friendly display for cards, packaging and children's brands: the heavy strokes survive small sizes and cutting, and the offset shadow means the lettering needs space on the right.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Prep Queen’s stroke geometry.
A heavy hand reads from a distance and looks made rather than purchased, which suits a celebration with a hand-made theme.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 450 by 300 mm board: set the greeting at 80 pt across two rows, keep 22 mm of clear ground beneath before the names at 20 pt, and hold 22 mm of border so the shadow stays inside.
Pre-production check
The offset shadow can look like a misprint on a large board; print one at the final size and check the direction before the set.
A heavy rounded hand speaks to a young readership, and the two rows carry a short heading without a second typeface in the deck.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm opener: set the heading at 56 pt across two rows, keep 18 mm of clear ground beneath before the standfirst at 10.5 pt, and hold 20 mm of margin on both sides.
Pre-production check
A pastel shadow can turn grey on newsprint; print one opener on the actual stock and check the edge before the issue.
The hand suits a young, informal brand, and the heavy strokes hold at a small label size where a fine script would fail.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 40 mm label: set the name at 13 pt on one row, keep 5 mm of clear ground beneath before the street at 4.5 pt, and hold 4 mm from the shadow to the die line.
Pre-production check
The shadow needs room on a narrow label; print one at the real size and check the right edge before the order.
