Extremely tall blackletter with blade-like lower extensions
Noctyra is a tall blackletter display face with narrow letters, needle-sharp spurs and thinner stems than a textura, set inside a hairline frame of corner flourishes.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Noctyra sits across the middle of a near-black card in a warm cream, and the letters are drawn in the delicate end of the blackletter range: the stems are narrow, the joins are fine, and the spurs come to points rather than diamonds, so the word reads as calligraphy on parchment rather than as a printed block. The ascenders of the l and the t rise high above the x-height, and the y and the r throw out small hooks that curve back toward the baseline. Around the composition a thin double rule forms a frame with ornamental corners, and a single hairline rule with a fleuron sits under the word beside a spaced caption naming the style. Nothing else is on the card. The face is a display blackletter for book covers, labels and invitations, and the fine strokes mean it wants a good printer and a large size.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Noctyra’s stroke geometry.
The slender letters give a cover the look of a printed plate rather than a modern title, and the tall ascenders fill the upper third of a book jacket without a picture.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 135 by 216 mm cover: set the title at 50 pt across one row, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the author at 11 pt, and hold 18 mm from the finest spur to the spine edge.
Pre-production check
Hairline spurs break on uncoated paper; print one cover on the actual stock and check the thinnest stroke before the run.
The fine gothic line reads as an invitation to something exclusive rather than a party novelty, and the cream on black holds in a dim room.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 120 by 170 mm card: set the greeting at 40 pt on one row, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath before the address at 9 pt, and hold 14 mm of margin from the longest ascender to the trim.
Pre-production check
Pale ink on dark card needs an opaque base; print one card in the real process and check the fine joins first.
The gothic tone suits a spirit with a history, and the narrow letters fit a long house name on a bottle that offers little width.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 110 mm label: set the house name at 20 pt on one row, keep 8 mm of clear ground beneath before the strength at 4.5 pt, and hold 6 mm from the lowest hook to the die line.
Pre-production check
Green glass dulls the cream tone; print one label on the actual bottle and check the contrast before the batch.
