Reverse-contrast geometric display
Neustar Reverse is a wide reverse-contrast display in black on a pale grey ground: heavy horizontal arms and very thin uprights, flat squared terminals, a detached diagonal on the N and an open R bowl, set on two lines with three small tracked notes at the head and a soft paper crease across the sheet.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The two words are stacked and the drawing is a reverse-contrast geometric: the horizontals carry the weight and the uprights are hairlines, which is the opposite of a didone and gives the face its engineered character. That construction limits the size range — the thin uprights disappear when the letters shrink — and the plate is honest about it by setting two lines as large as the sheet allows. The detached diagonal on the N and the open bowl on the R are drawn decisions that keep the face from reading as a generic wide sans, and the crease across the paper is staging. The three notes at the head name the studio, the style and the cuts, which is what a buyer checks. The palette is one ink on a pale ground, which suits the geometric character.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Neustar Reverse’s stroke geometry.
A reverse-contrast face reads as engineering rather than marketing, and the heavy horizontals hold on a panel where a neutral sans would look generic.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the mark at 20 pt on a card, 90 mm on a wall and 13 pt in a footer, keeping the wide cut only above 24 pt. Keep one colour and clear space equal to the arm thickness.
Pre-production check
Check the 13 pt footer, where the thin uprights can break; use a narrower cut at that size. Confirm the wall mark reads at eight metres and that the thin strokes survive vinyl cutting.
A reverse-contrast display gives an annual an unmistakable cover, and the wide letterforms hold at thumbnail size where a thin geometric would vanish.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 80 mm cap height across 200 mm in two lines, the subtitle in a 10 pt sans, and the year at 8 pt. Print one ink on a coated stock and keep the lines tight.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 80 mm, where the thin uprights can break at the joins; keep them above 0.4 mm. Confirm the 8 pt year survives lamination and that the block clears the trim.
A geometric display signals a design course to students, and the unusual contrast makes a notice board poster stop the eye between plain ones.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 poster: the course at 90 mm cap height, the dates in a 20 mm sans, and the room at 10 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print one colour on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the poster at three metres, where the thin uprights can fade; add weight or reduce the width. Confirm the 10 mm room reads at arm's length and that the title fits the sheet.
