Visual anatomy & craft review
Monoline Boho is a fine slanted monoline signature script with knotted loops: an even hairline stroke on a strong slant, letters joined low, and ascenders that tie themselves into small open knots before they release. It reads as a hand-signed name rather than a set line, which is why it belongs on a card, a tag or a decal. The knots are the finest element and they close into a smudge once the face is reduced or cut small. It needs roughly 30 mm for the knot and the hairline to read, and it is best one dark ink on a smooth stock.

A fine monoline signature reads as a hand-signed mark rather than a corporate logo. The knots hold at 30 mm on a card, and one ink prints the card and the decal in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, signature 30 mm with 10 mm knot clearance, details 7/9 pt, 8 mm margins. Decal 150 x 100 mm, signature 50 mm, 10 mm margins. Sticker 60 mm round, initial 12 mm, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
On a 60 mm sticker the knots fill into a smudge and the mark reads as a squiggle. Use the plain initial there, and print one sheet before the run.
A hairline signature gives a wedding a hand-signed name on printed stationery without a full calligraphy script. The knots hold at 30 pt on an invitation, and one ink prints the suite in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 30 pt with 12 mm knot clearance, details 9/13 pt, 18 mm margins. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 16 pt, 4 mm margins. Favour tag 50 x 90 mm, name 16 mm, 3 mm hole clearance and 4 mm to the trim.
Pre-production check
At 16 mm on a favour tag the hairline drops out and the name reads as a faint trace. Raise the tag to 24 mm, and punch one tag before the batch.
A signature script signs a feature the way an editor would, which separates it from the typeset byline. The knots hold at 28 pt, and the hairline survives on coated stock at that size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Byline 28 pt with 10 mm knot clearance and a 4 mm rule below. Pull quote 20/26 pt over one column of 82 mm with 12 mm indent. Contents page 210 x 297 mm, entries 9/13 pt with 3 mm row padding, 18 mm margins and a 40 mm rail.
Pre-production check
At 9 pt in the contents the hairline sils and the entries read as a ghost row. Set the contents in the text face, and proof one spread at 1:1.
