Widely spaced thin lowercase with circular bowls and a hooked j descender
Japandi draws its lowercase in a hairline geometric line, keeps the bowls almost circular and sets the words far apart on a soft photographic ground so the type feels like a room rather than a label.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The name sits in wide-tracked lowercase across a dusty mauve scene of a ceramic vase and a dried stem, the strokes so thin that the white reads as pencil against the tone. The a and the d keep straight stems and fully round bowls, the ascenders reach modestly and the descender of the p drops cleanly, so nothing in the word interrupts the calm. Under it, three tracked capitals sit in a line with wide gaps. The face has no weight contrast to give it colour, which means it needs size or generous paper, and at small sizes it will almost disappear.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Japandi’s stroke geometry.
The hairline lowercase suits a studio that sells quiet objects, and the wide tracking gives a short name a calm, spaced rhythm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 90 mm card: set the studio name at 12 pt with 2 mm of extra tracking, keep 8 mm of clear ground beneath before the address at 6 pt, and keep 7 mm of margin from the card edge.
Pre-production check
Hairlines fade at 10 pt in offset; check the printed sample card before ordering a full box.
The light face keeps a running head from competing with photography, and the geometric bowls stay clean at the size a margin note uses.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 by 260 mm page: set the running head at 11 pt with 1.5 mm of tracking, keep 9 mm of clear ground beneath before the first line of text at 9 pt, and keep 14 mm of margin at the outer edge.
Pre-production check
Thin strokes can drop out on uncoated paper; check the proof on the chosen uncoated stock.
The spare lettering lets the vessel carry the design, and a short lowercase name holds on a narrow label without crowding.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 45 by 70 mm label: set the scent name at 10 pt with 1 mm of tracking, keep 6 mm of clear ground beneath before the weight at 5 pt, and keep 5 mm to the die edge.
Pre-production check
Small sizes lose the hairline entirely; check a proof before the candle batch is labelled.
