Visual anatomy & craft review
Mitchell is a tall upright brush-signature script with high editorial ascenders on the M, t, h and l, medium-thick monoline-brush connectors and a smooth, even rhythm that stays readable in a column. Because it is upright rather than slanted, a long name fits a narrow format, and the even weight means it transfers and plots without the joins breaking. It needs roughly 18 mm for the tall loops to read as deliberate, and it is a stationery and label face, best in one dark ink on a warm ground.

A brush signature reads as a maker's own mark on a label, which is what a small boutique sells. The upright stance keeps a long brand name inside a narrow tag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Label 70 x 45 mm, name 10 mm, 4 mm die margin and 3 mm clear of the cut. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 9 mm, role 5.5 pt, 6 mm margins. Tag 45 x 90 mm, word 11 mm, eyelet 4 mm with 6 mm clear card.
Pre-production check
A 45 mm tag with an 11 mm word leaves little room for the eyelet, and the loop runs into the punch. Keep 6 mm of clear card, and check one strung tag before the run.
Tall upright loops give a modern wedding suite formality without a copperplate, and the even weight prints on textured card. The face holds a long double surname at 26 mm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 26 mm, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 9 mm. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 mm, dishes 9/13 pt.
Pre-production check
Textured card breaks a 0.35 mm connector and the name reads in pieces. Print one proof on the actual card, and raise the place-card name to 10 mm if the joins break.
A signature script reads as a personal note rather than a printed courtesy, which is what a keepsake thank-you needs. The upright rhythm stays legible at 9 mm on a tag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Note 105 x 148 mm, greeting 16 mm, message 7/10 pt, 12 mm margins. Card 120 x 170 mm, greeting 20 mm, 14 mm margins. Tag 45 x 80 mm, word 9 mm, hole 5 mm with 6 mm clear card.
Pre-production check
Note cards are printed on laid stock and a light connector fills. Print one proof on the intended paper, and if the joins mottle, move the message to a smooth-face insert.
