Rounded slab with overlapping bars
Laveto is a rounded slab display in ultramarine on a bleached desert landscape: wide capitals with long overlapping horizontal bars, rounded stroke ends and a final letter drawn as a circular bowl pierced by a stem, with a tracked line beneath and three small credits in the corners.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word spans the plate and the drawing is a rounded slab with unusual joins: the horizontal bars run past the stems so letters overlap their neighbours, the ends are rounded, and the last character is drawn as a circular bowl, which gives the face a sign-painter character. That construction sets a large size floor and demands that a buyer letterspaces by eye, because the overlaps depend on the pairing; the plate shows the letters touching in places, which is intentional at this size and risky at a smaller one. The desert horizon below is staging, and the tracked line and the corner credits are plain. Because the letters are wide and connected, the face suits a sign, a poster and a logo rather than a sentence.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Laveto’s stroke geometry.
A rounded slab with overlapping bars reads as painted signage, and the wide letters fill a fascia with few characters. Few characters fill a fascia without a second line.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Fabricate a 1,000 by 360 mm sign: the bar at 120 mm cap height, the hours in a 22 mm slab, and a 5 mm rule. Keep 24 mm margins and specify a matte finish.
Pre-production check
Check the sign at 120 mm, where an overlapping bar can look like a collision; keep the joins deliberate. Confirm the 22 mm hours read at three metres and that the bars clear the edge.
A rounded slab gives a roaster a mark with a hand-painted feel, and the overlapping bars survive a small die where a fine face would not.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 80 by 100 mm label: the roaster at 15 pt, the blend at 9 pt, and the weight at 7.5 pt. Keep 6 mm inside the die and keep the narrowest gap at 1.5 mm.
Pre-production check
Check the 15 pt roaster on a bag, where an overlap can close a counter; open it at 15 pt. Confirm the 7.5 pt weight reads at arm's length and that the bag fold misses the type.
A slab with overlapping bars gives a travel cover a printed-plate look, and the wide letters hold a short title across the sheet.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 80 mm cap height across 190 mm, the issue in a 9 pt sans, and the price at 8 pt. Print one ink on a matte stock and keep 22 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 80 mm, where the circular final letter can look like a logo mark; keep it consistent with the rest. Confirm the 8 pt price reads and that the title clears the trim.
