Serif and script duo pairing tall engraved caps with a light italic
Georgia Praline is a two-cut family in which a tall engraved serif carries the headline and a light italic script answers beneath it, so a design gets a formal voice and a written line from one purchase.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The serif builds tall caps with fine bracketed serifs, an even contrast and a narrow fit; the script draws a light italic with a looping capital, thin joins and a long tail. The pairing is the character: the serif is stiff and upright and the script leans and loops, which is why the sample stacks them with the script set at roughly half the size. The serif holds at 40 pt and the script at 26 pt, so the two cuts are used at different sizes rather than on one line. The deep burgundy ground, the paper grain, the small year lozenge and the corner labels are presentation; the cream serif headline and the script line are the family.

The duo gives a formal invitation two voices without a third font, and the engraved caps hold the couple's names at 34 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm card: set both names at 34 pt in the serif, set the venue line at 26 pt in the script beneath, and keep 18 mm between the blocks so the script's ascenders clear the serifs.
Pre-production check
A light script under engraved caps looks accidental at tight spacing; check the card and open the gap rather than shrinking the line.
The engraved serif reads as a heritage chocolate brand, and the script gives the maker's name a handwritten line at 14 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 by 50 mm label: set the brand name at 26 pt in the serif, set the maker line at 14 pt in the script beneath, and keep 4 mm from the die so the looped capital stays whole.
Pre-production check
A looped capital cut by a die edge looks broken; check the label and move the block inward by 2 mm.
The duo covers both the cover title and the issue line, and the engraved caps read in cream over a dark ground at 96 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the title at 96 pt in the serif in cream on the burgundy, set the issue line at 30 pt in the script beneath, and keep 30 mm of margin at the head.
Pre-production check
A thin script in cream over a dark ground fills in with ink; check the printed cover and set the script at 34 pt for reverse printing.
