Blocky pixel capitals with stepped corners and square counters
Jawhead is a pixel font drawn on a coarse square grid: chunky capitals built from visible blocks, stair-stepped diagonals, and counters that close up if the word is set small.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
JAWHEAD sits across the middle of a purple card in white, the letters built from large square pixels, with the diagonal of the A stepped in three blocks and the W formed from four short staircases. The grid is coarse enough that the steps are the style rather than a compromise, and the counters are generous, so the word still reads at the size shown. Hearts, hexagons and small crosses are scattered across the ground in the same pixel logic, and a rounded pill at the top introduces the face in a smaller pixel face. Below the word one line names the style. The face belongs to game interfaces, stream overlays, stickers and party graphics, and its practical limit is the grid: at a size where one pixel falls below about two points, the steps blur into a grey line and the whole character of the face disappears.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Jawhead’s stroke geometry.
The pixel grid dates the subject before the cover line is read, and the heavy blocks stay crisp in a small print run where fine lettering would break up.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 148 by 210 mm cover: set the title at 56 pt on one row, keep 18 mm of clear ground beneath before the issue line at 9 pt, and hold 14 mm of margin so no pixel is trimmed at the edge.
Pre-production check
Print at a whole multiple of the pixel grid; print one cover and check the steps for soft edges before the run.
The blocks say video games in one word, and the coarse grid stays readable across a dark room where a fine display face would break into noise.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 600 by 400 mm board: set the greeting at 110 pt across two rows, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the time at 18 pt, and hold 28 mm of border on all four sides of the board.
Pre-production check
Stair steps show every join on foam board; print one board at the final size and check the corners before the set.
The pixel face matches the studio's product on screen, and the blocky forms stay legible at the small sizes a stream overlay is actually seen at.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 1920 by 1080 px frame: set the studio name at 120 px on one row, keep 40 px of clear ground beneath before the handle at 32 px, and hold 60 px of margin from the pixel edge to the frame border.
Pre-production check
Screen scaling blurs the grid at non-integer sizes; check one render at the delivery size before the overlay is published.
