Visual anatomy & craft review
Floating Script is a thick retro brush script with a bold T-barred F, sturdy slanted lowercase and a wavy flame-tipped underline swoosh drawn as a separate element. The strokes are heavy and evenly weighted, so the face reads at 20 mm on a patch and at 200 mm on a banner, and the swoosh gives a word a base without a rule. It needs roughly 25 mm for the flame tips to read, and it is at its best in one light colour on a dark ground where the swoosh becomes a graphic line.

Retro brush and a flame swoosh read as a 1970s racing decal, which is the register a streetwear drop wants. Heavy strokes survive a screen print on a dark shirt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Chest print 280 x 180 mm, word 90 mm with 20 mm below for the swoosh, 40 mm margins. Sign 1200 x 400 mm, word 240 mm, 80 mm margins. Cap 100 x 45 mm, word 20 mm, 3 mm stitch border.
Pre-production check
A flame swoosh under 1 mm at its tip disappears in embroidery and the underline looks broken. Keep the taper above 1.5 mm for stitched goods, and check a sew-out before the cap run.
Flame-tipped brush reads as painted signage at a summer venue, and the swoosh carries a long word across a wide banner. One bright ink on a dark ground survives glare.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 900 x 400 mm, word 180 mm, 50 mm below for the swoosh, 60 mm margins. Banner 3000 x 800 mm, word 600 mm, 200 mm margins. Towel 700 x 1400 mm, word 260 mm, 120 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Outdoor signs fade fastest in the red and orange range, which is exactly where a beach venue lives. Use UV-stable inks with a UV laminate, and check one sign after a summer month.
A thick retro script with a flame underline reads as a vintage tour print, which suits a reissue or a rock act. The swoosh anchors a title without a printed rule.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sleeve 312 x 312 mm plus 3 mm bleed, word 200 mm, credits 7 pt. Poster A2, word 280 mm, details 22/28 pt, 30 mm margins. Programme 148 x 210 mm, title 40 mm, listings 8.5/12 pt.
Pre-production check
A tour programme is printed cheaply and a heavy fill with a fine flame tip shows the tip as dirt. Increase the tip width at small sizes, and check one printed page before the tour run.
