Visual anatomy & craft review
Embroidery by ABBAsalam is a bold upright brush script with thick shaded stems, a double-bellied E and tidy untangled loops, so a name reads as lettering drawn for a hoop rather than a wedding script. The weight is sturdy enough for HTV and plotting, and the open counters keep it legible at 14 mm on a linen label where a fine script would break. It needs roughly 22 mm for the brush shading to read, and it is best in solid black on natural linen or in one thread colour on white.

A sturdy brush script reads as lettering stitched by the maker, which is what a small textile studio puts on a label and a hoop sample. The thick stems survive an HTV press and a stitch conversion, and the open counters keep a long studio name readable on a 60 mm label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Label 60 x 40 mm, name 9 mm, material 4.5 pt, 3 mm die margin and 4 mm clear of the cut. Insert 105 x 148 mm, heading 18 mm, notes 7/10 pt. Hoop sample 100 mm round, word 14 mm, 15 mm margins.
Pre-production check
An HTV press at 9 mm squeezes the 0.4 mm gap inside the double-bellied E and the letter fills in. Keep the label name at 12 mm or use the single-belly alternate, and press one sample before the order.
Bold upright script reads as a name written on a gift in thread, which is what a personal thank-you is. The sturdy strokes stitch onto linen without a redraw, and the open loops keep a long recipient name legible at 9 mm on a tag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 120 x 170 mm, greeting 20 mm, message 8/11 pt, 14 mm margins. Tag 45 x 80 mm, word 9 mm with a 4 mm hole and 6 mm clear card. Patch 60 x 25 mm, word 7 mm, 3 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 7 mm stitched word packs the satin column until the loop closes, and the patch reads as a solid bar. Keep stitched names at 10 mm or use a running stitch, and stitch one sample on the actual fabric first.
A sturdy brush script is legible on a 100 mm hoop and on a school name tape, which is what a craft club hands out. The thick strokes survive a stitch conversion at 10 mm, and the open counters keep a club name readable from a metre away.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Hoop 100 mm round, word 12 mm, 15 mm margins. Name tape 120 x 20 mm, word 7 mm, 3 mm margins. Card 105 x 148 mm, heading 16 mm, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 120 mm name tape at 7 mm leaves the stitch path too close to the woven edge and the tape frays from the end. Keep 4 mm of clear tape around the word, and stitch one tape before the session.
